The Stonewall Riots are an important part of Queer History. They represent an important shift in the Gay Rights Movement. While the homosexual's struggle for equal rights did not begin with the Stonewall Riots, it did greatly change the way it was fought. To understand the significance of the Stonewall Riots, one must first understand the times.

I can remember back to the day I watched the countdown timer on Cryptic's website hit zero and the popup window alerted me that it was Launch time.  I, then, remember how their website nearly crashed from the subsequent reload of a few thousand eager Trekkies trying to find out what the announcement was about.  I was so excited to sign up for the Star Trek Online forums that night and spent the next several days forum whoring like the best of them.  I can't believe it's been almost two years since then.

Stonewall Fleet is proud to host the Third Annual Pride Weekend for the Star Trek Online community.  This time of year is a time of great celebration for the GLBT community.  Millions worldwide celebrate during this time of year in remembrance of the Stonewall Riots.  The Stonewall Riots were a major changing point in the Gay & Lesbian Rights Movement that not only affected the GLBT community, but the entire world.

For this occasion, Stonewall Fleet will be hosting events throughout June 30th & July 1st.  The events will be open to the entire Star Trek Online community and we hope that you and your fleet will come participate.
